About the Artist
Lydia Furness is an experienced vocalist based in the West Midlands. She is passionate about musical theatre and has appeared in school productions including Footloose and Hairspray and also performed songs from ‘Annie’ alongside popular music repertoire such as ‘Hallelujah’, ‘The Power of Love’ and ‘Ain’t no Mountain High Enough’. Lydia has also performed in Holland, competing in Music for Youth in 2018.
Lydia is currently a second-year undergraduate at the University of Wolverhampton studying BA(Hons) Music for Education and Community Practice, where she is continuing to develop her skills as a composer, arranger and performer.
Lydia has an A-Level in Music, a BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, a Diploma in Musical Theatre, Grade 7 in Electronic Keyboard and Grade 6 in Acoustic Guitar. She is currently working towards her ALCM in Musical Theatre Performance which she aims to complete in 2021 and, after hearing the song ‘8’ by Billie Eilish, was inspired to take up the Ukulele.
Lydia is set to graduate in 2022, after which she wants to further her work as a professional Vocalist and continue to develop her skills as a performer.
